The Audacity of Hope

For the longest time I wasn't sure if Obama could pull this thing off, however I'm more convinced then ever that Hillary will be leaving the race come March 5th

ARG Poll
Texas: Obama 50%, Clinton 42%
Ohio: Clinton 49%, Obama 39%

PPP Poll
Ohio: Clinton 50%, Obama 46%

CNN Poll
Texas: Obama 50%, Clinton 46%

Ohio Poll
Ohio: Clinton 47%, Obama 39%

Quinnipiac poll
Ohio: Clinton 51%, Obama 40%

Remember Clinton was up by 20 points in each one of these states now Obama has taken the lead in Texas and is closing in on Hillary in Ohio. The trend is strongly favoring Obama. At this rate with 8 days to go I say Obama wins both states. One thing is for sure there is no way Hillary will be able to blow Obama out of the water at this rate. The best Hillary can do is not make an ass out of herself but it seems as if shes intent on doing just that.

Re: The Audacity of Hope (none / 0)

CNN themselves called today's poll "tied" and "within the margin of error".  The PPP polls are consistently, reliably incorrect.  I remember the Wisconsin poll show Clinton up by 9 points when all other polls showed her trailing.  So as far as THOSE polls go- i wouldn't count on them.  As always, look for a "trend".  The "trend" seems to show Obama moving up in TX- though he has yet to break through.  If this keeps up this week, then yes, he will probably overtake her.  If this is an outlier-  and it stays the 50-47 Clinton advantage that it's been hovering at for a few days, then she wins.  I think she probably wins Ohio as she has stopped the bleeding there over the last few days.  The point of all this is that you should not "count your chickens" quite yet.

He even with her in Texas in the average at www.realclearpolitics.com and she does need to gain about 50 delegates on this day. I don't see her doing that, hence, the race is basically over.

The point being there is no way for Hillary to obtain the sizable victories she needs the only thing she can hope to do is survive and eek out a victory which for her is already a loss.

Re: The Audacity of Hope (none / 0)

Is that another rule you want to change midway thru the primary. Dont let independents vote cause Hillary cant win them over? This is how the primaries have always been handled and its also how McCain won the nomination.

Following that logic they should have been behind Hillary the whole time. Remember Obama was and is the underdog in this.

Re: The Audacity of Hope (2.00 / 0)

In a delicious turn of irony at its finest, it is the Hillary bivouacers that are clinging to the most audacious of hopes.

Even though we've been informed that Hope doesn't matter.

the audacity of hope...
when even the revered JFK told girls of Hillary's generation that they could never be President...just who's  the candidate who is really audaciously hoping??

Re: The Audacity of Hope (none / 0)

Thank goodness for Wisconsin! I was stressing out big time before that one. Now I am 100% confident that the Obama campaign can handle whatever gets thrown at them.

It's kind of like football. Once you have a lead in the 4th quarter...it's all about the ground game.
